Hi,
I tried to contact Adder Technology/Publications, some Technical Manager woman, who previousily was my contact, has not replied after 2 weeks.
In past communications, I was told, that Drian Dickens handles all tge copyright issues. Unfortuneatley, he is either busy out of the office, sick, on holiday.
A rather stupid situation, before I retired from work, I worked as a Maintenance Manager, where I had to write policies and procedures for a multi-national company, that easily dwarfed Adder Technologies. I always had time to answer questions on copyright style questions and manage 10 workshops around the UK.
I cannot understand why if the copyright is not to be lifted, they can not say so.
I will assume they can not be bothered the status of the book.
Is the best option to make the book available on Github, with a different title raised to a new revision?

Is it 30 years we have to wait - from date of publication or last copyright application? Then it would be lapse?

The Copyright page says: August 1984, so is the release from Copyright using the above statement: August 2014?
But, looking at the minefield of of UK Copyright Lawon UK GOV Web site:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... %20author.
The length of the Copyright could be 70 years after the death of the author.

Yes copyright exists until 70 years after death of author.
Author is still alive
Publisher is still in business
So any unauthorised re-publication in any form would leave you open to litigation.

Hehe! there seem to be quite a lot of mistakes in this book... I was just refreshing my memory yesterday. Page 68 5.3.1 says the screen resolution on a QL is 512x512 or 256x512 - I wish

Hi,
These are the errors I have corrected.
But Adrian Dickinson, does not want to respond to my requests.
Not sure what to do.
