Did the jack just need turning in the socket? I have an xbox headset that does the same!
Thanks for joining everyone, enjoyed it!!

Re: Future QL Zoom Meetings
No, turning tha jack made no difference.
The headset has a 4 way 3.5mm jack for use in phones, and an adaptor for laptops etc with twin 3.5 mm 3 way plugs. I tested it on my phone and suffered the noise problem, without the jack even being present.
It's going back to the shop for exchange. Hopefully, I'll have a working headset for the next meeting.
C'est lavvie. As we say up in the far North!
Cheers,
Norm.

Apart from Norman's microphone problems, a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Zoom meeting tonight.
Here's looking forward to the next one in March or April hopefully!

I believe that a good, crisp, chilled glass of white is very good for the throat!Derek_Stewart wrote:HI,

As for speaking rubbish, you should have no fears on that front, I was attending!!!!! Plus, a fault that developed in my headset meant that nobody could hear or say anything until I was forcibly muted to shut me up!
Good news: I took the headset back today.
Bad news: They didn't have any left in stock!
Good news: I got a refund.
Bad news: I bought a better headset - so I'll be attending again!
Cheers,
Norm.

Early April is fine for me -- at the moment anyway. MrsD is chelping on about holidays ... assuming we can go and we have been vaccinated and wherever she fancies going wil accept people from the Untied Kingdom (sic).
