Hi all,

After a hiatus of exactly two years, Knoware.no is now up and running
again. Many thanks to Rob Heaton for hosting it on his server!

I was hoping to "polish the turd" a bit before re-opening, but then, when
it happened, it all happened so fast that Im not ready. Some reorganisation
(and possible resulting chaos) is under way, but that will now happen
incrementally.

I havent been lazy these past years. There are some 40 new titles, upgrades
and updates.

Much of my stuff is for high-end emulators like QPC2 and SMSQmulator. That
is because those are the systems I mostly use myself. Both QPC2 and
SMSQemulator are now free and easily available and I guess almost everyone
reading this has some sort of PC. There is nothing dangerous about SMSQ/E.
At the most basic level it works just like the old QL, and those bits that
dont, should at least not be unfamiliar to anyone with a modern PC. Even if
you prefer to work only with QL-type hardware systems, these emulators are
useful as accessories to make your QL life easier.

That being said, I dont deliberately try to exclude any platform. On the
contrary! Wherever possible I try to make my software compatible across all
platforms, at leas those I know anything about, so there should be
something to suit everyone. Just pay attentions to the clues: SMSQ/E only.
GD2 only. Qdos/Minerva only, All platforms, etc!

I was a poor student of mind reading in kindergarten, so Im one of those
odd fellows who needs a bit of physical feedback to thrive. Im not fishing
for compliments! Im simply in need some kind of indication that the stuff I
produce is useful (or not) and that it works (or not). If it doesnt work
then Id like the opportunity to fix it. No feedback can mean anything! Dont
like/doesnt work/WTF? are the most obvious interpretations. If you sell
stuff, then at least you get some kind of feedback: reviews, money and/or
complaints, etc. If you give stuff away unconditionally and for free then
any feedback needs to be a deliberate action on the part of the recipient.
See how that works?

Enjoy!

Brilliant, Per!

I've always liked your site a lot especially the listing style you use.

Thanks a lot for your effort on getting this up and running again, and also to Rob!

Hi Per,

I think you are being too modest, when your web site was unavailable, there was a complete void in the QL community.

I am so glad the web hosting has been solved, and your web site is available and preserved.
