Sorry but nothing went out today - was stuck waiting in for Hermes to come and collect parcel for skagon..... wonder if they'll turn up tomorrow, or if it can beat my record of waiting 10 days for them to collect!

No collection today either by Hermes - so will not be using them again!!

Skagon - I am now taking the parcel to the local Hermes shop - a few miles out of my way....

It's appalling service - mind you, their drivers apparently only get 50p per parcel collected, so no wonder they won't drive X miles out of their way to collect one parcel.... I wonder if they get their mileage on top of that ?

Wow... mate, you either live in the middle of a jungle, or your local Hermes is the worst branch in the Kingdom... and then some.
Seriously, any time I've either arranged pick-up or received stuff, they picked it up the very next day without exception.
I haven't checked, but isn't there any complaint form on their website?

At this time of year, courier companies employ so many private drivers as seasonal delivery drivers and the complaints go through the roof. I know, we get goodness knows how many courier-related complaints at work from all over the country.

I am only on the outskirts of stoke - but Hermes use all private drivers - sorry but with too many experiences on my part over the years with them (with pick ups from different addresses too) - they are just TOO unreliable and I will not use them again.

According to the various forums, they ignore their complaint forms / feedback

Let's see how long it will take them to deliver it to you....

Epson Keyboard

Having received my parcel of goodies, I removed the case of the Epson keyboard to see inside. It is a membrane type mounted on a curved metal plate. Just thought I would mention it, as this was being discussed earlier in the thread.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:

Weird - the one I sent to Skagon seemed to have the little switches under tkey keys - maybe there were not switches but some sort of hard wired plunger - certainly the keytops just came off to reveal these underneath...
