It actually (just like the next itself) supports both the old 48k and the extended Next keyboard. (and PS/2, if you want)Cristian wrote: Wed Nov 06, 2024 7:17 pm I thought the N-go had the keyboard map/layout set for the Next keyboard! Thank you for the info and pictures![]()

Re: ZX Spectrum Next speaks QL
I did not since it wasnt displayed when one opens a thread.
Looks really nice by promised feature list, and I hope it will work.
I only doubt how NEXT kbd built on ZX128 map will handle QL keyboard that has many extra keys
So far core wasnt public and was accesible only by Patreon support.

The long awaited extra cores for your KS2 (and KS1) Next are finally a reality! Starting with breaking news on the Sinclair QL cores running on the Spectrum Next: They are ready. Yes, you read it right, your Next can now run as a QL with full compatibility, performing as an accelerated QL featuring a 68030 processor running at 56MHz – a beast of a QL. [...]
The team will release the core at Crash on November 23rd.

If it does arrive today, it would be the first Next thing that was ever on timeThat would be today. Any idea where to look?

Re: ZX Spectrum Next speaks QL
Would be nice to at least know where to look, and who made the announcement.
Very hard to believe the 68030 processor. More likely, they just used the TG68K.C FPGA core.

That was a text I quoted from one of the Kickstarter team's update messages, and then was quoted out of context, see initial message.Peter wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 6:34 pmWho says that? @napsternds: They have still like four hours. But I wouldn't hold my breath that long, that could cause an unhealthy skin color......
Could it be you're a bit impatient?
