Hi Bob,

The BMP documentation says nothing about Turo Toolkit.
I would mainly use SMSQ/E, on SMSQmulator, Q68.

The whole point is that Turbo is not used by BMP but can cause this problem on non SMSQ/E systems.
So far most SMSQ/E specific keywords are avoided or embedded in an : IF "HBA" : test but as I said it was not tested by me on other sytems.
Testing is now done if any other SMSQ/E keywords could cause errors anywhere on QDOS or Minerva.

PEEK$ mystery solved ( kind of )

on my systems Pointer's Toolkit 2.11 1988 (Jochen Merz ?) is used
it comes with PEEK$ but uses a different syntax

on sQLux PEEK$ is absent ( PJW to the rescue )
