Have you tried if they exhibited the same behaviour? I think they should.
In any case the new SMSQ/E with the fix is out now on Wolfgang's page.

Just checked:
With the new version, QPC happily reacts to the 4-fingers with an EPROM_LOADed ROM (and the ROM works fine, too)
