For the time being I can confirm that, for who is looking for an hardware replacement, the Mist is really a step forward and works very well, pity we cannot convince Till (Mist master ) to enhance it to use more speed and more memory.
Maybe money helps?
Maybe helping helps?
I'll go with XorA - I am sure Till will accept changes for the QL as he does for other platforms.

I had a look at the FPGA Core sources and ....... it is like Pinyin language. I was not even able to find the place where the amount of memory is set! How to re-program FPGA is far beyond my capacity. I dont think that Till is reading the forum but what he did in few days was astonishing (My opinion....) .
Funding the project is another topics but considering how many QL-MIST were sold (how many?) it is also an hard path....thats life
I agree @tofro that helping helps but unfortunately I'm not able to. I'm more a user than a programmer and had never i my life to do with FPGA programming. I was impressed how quickly e.g. the SD drivers were inserted and working, really great, and in my humble opinion just thought it would be great if e.g. the GD2 high res graphics could be inserted ... and may some other stuff. The question was how Till could be motivated to do that ...

It is never really a question of money - Tony Firshman has trouble finding the time and most of these designs are in his head, not helped as he can't always remember them all!
