I thought that too - no sign of them - PLUS no guarantee that any of it works.

There is a gold card in the 2nd to last photo (scroll down!)

It is in the upper left corner, inside the expansion case. You can see the back of the card and the gold heatsink. It's FILTHY!

Right, looks like that. Thanks, Dave.

Not exactly shiny, though ;)

What is the custom box setup? Looks quite cool but hyper filthy, makes you wonder where it's been stored.

I'd be willing to put in a good bid, to have the items shipped to RWAP to be cleaned, tested and sold for the benefit of the community.

Unless this would interfere with anyone else's plans?

Actually, after more careful review of the photos, I take that back.

I suspect the boards have all been stored in a shed, in roasting and freezing conditions, and there's a bag of hurt for anyone who buys them - I'm confident all the capacitors are toast, the EPROMS are blank, and the plastics will be brittle.

Either a shel or an attic - same diference.

Notice also the homebrew drilling of the power supplies to air cool them.

It's heart-breaking to watch.

I guess the previous owner treasured his QL items and stack them somewhere underground while drawing a pirate map in order to rediscover them 30 years later and auction them out at e-bay.....dirt included :D

If the price does not increase too much - I will look to acquire these.

The QLs, disk and microdrives are no doubt scrap (as you would never get those heads clean).

There is a slight chance that some of the interfaces may work (or be repaired - if only to nick the Altera chip from the Gold Card).

If the items were located in Eire, I would have my suspicions as to who the seller is - someone who sends Spectrums for repair, which look as though they have been attached to the back of a plough !! These don't look much better.
