Yessss!!! That's the thing!!! So the video subsystem needs the 12V and as it is generated by the 15V AC :?

OK, I have no way to supply these volts by now, so I've just bought an original PSU. :-D :-D :-D

Thanks a lot, 1024MAK!!

Replacing the 7805 by a TracoPower:

Now I don't need a heatsink anymore ;-)

How are you going to keep you hands warm in winter ?

It's tradition with Sinclair computers to have them run warm so that your hands don't get cold. All part of Sinclair's value for money concept (no need to buy a computer and a hand warmer, just buy a Sinclair :P ).

:!: Standby alert :!:
“There are four lights!”
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)

QL, Falcon, Atari 520STFM, Atari 1040STE, more PC's than I care to count and an assortment of 8 bit micros (Sinclair and Acorn)(nearly forgot the Psion's)

Oooops! That's true! So, I've put back the 7805, and toasted the bread for breakfast ( only needed 47 seconds to be toasted :-D )

Even better, get two more original BBQLs and there is no need to switch on your Central Heating
