C-Port

Post by RWAP »

Does anyone know who wrote C-Port sold by Digital Precision ??

I think it might have been Chas Dillon, but if so, is missing from his sources on Dilwyn's site...

Yes it was originally sold by PDQL and then by Digital Precision.... It's Turbo compiled SuperBASIC, so the sources would also be interesting...

I only ever got a tiny fraction of the sources for stuff Chas Dillon wrote, no C-port, no Grafix, etc. (compare it to the long list of his stuff in old PDQL and DP adverts)

I think the ones on my website was what he managed to salvage from his Thor 16 at some point. when someone asked him.

graFix was a thing of its own. When I bought "The Editor" from Freddy, there was a driver called "driver" on the disk. Freddy told me, there would come a new "singín' and dancin'" program for it. His usual speech. And of course with additional costs.

This is nothing against Chas!

The same as usual. And the same as with "Ultraprint", where the author couldn't honestly believe the late price (original letter in my box). He was extremely disappointed about that. A program, which he just use to printout selfmade PCBs (designed with EyeQ) and just for that(!) to such a high value and for much other purposes announced. He couldn't believe it.
