I was considering some QLAN-to-Internet router (simply a computer or embedded device with Ethernet/WiFi and a QLAN socket, which can have QLAN addresses assigned to various IP addresses or to physical local QL network).
But I stopped, as the timeout on QLAN seems to be too short to receive response from distant station in time.
Then I started to play with iWFi ConnectOne module, which in fact behaves similarly to WizNet (with different commands - AT modem style in ConectOne, html-like tags in WizNet).

Hi Dex,
Have you tried Jonathan Hudson's QPOP3 software with iWFi ConnectOne module.

QPOP3 looks nice, but I'm not so familiar with C to rewrite it.Derek_Stewart wrote:Have you tried Jonathan Hudson's QPOP3 software with iWFi ConnectOne module.
ConnectOne module supports common protocols and has AT command to send mail, and AT command to get a mail, so it is possible to have a simple mail client written in Basic.
However, now I'm playing with file downloading and Gopher protocol, not mail.

Ok, if this ever comes about and we can play Fleet Tactical Command across the net,RWAP wrote:Plus, I guess if we could ever get a hold of Di-Ren (Robin Barker where are you ??) - we could truly launch something like Fleet Tactical Command - which was always designed to run on several QLs and other computers linked together - unfortunately via the QL Network or Amadeus Interlink.....
