First usage of my GPD Pocket 3 today :-)

Post by ql_freak »

It unfortunately does not fit into a pocket (as my GPD Pocket 2), but it's great. Has an Intel Core I7 processor and an exchangeable 1 Tbyte SSD and a good keyboard. And I can use it with a Windows display scale of 1.25 (Pocket 2 1.5, both have 1920x1200). It has an active stylus with two buttuns. sQLU'X is already installed, but unusable without magnification (I have not yet created a startlink for it with magnification). on my homepage Ihave linked an unboxing video of it (German).

BTW: When I started sQLUX for the first time, it was in Mode 8. Does sQLUX support 8 color mode also with high resolutions? Can Pointer Environment be used in Mode 8?

Here a live photo from GPD Pocket 3:

One USB-port can be exchanged to RS-232 or an interface which allows to connnect to a server PC without display and keyboard, The Pocket 3 then serves als the monitor (display) AND the keyboard. I.e. you can administrate any server, even if it does not have keyboard and/or display.

p.s.: Meanwhile GPD Pocket 4 is out. It has an even better processor, but else nearly the same as the Pocket 3.

p.p.s.: You can make it (P3 and P4, have the same housing) to a tablet by rotating the display and fold it onto the keyboard.

p.p.s.: I have had it switched on at home with AC connected, updated Windows (about an hour), accu 97%. Then set it to sleep (about an hour), switched it on again and worked for about 2 hous (many downloads). When switching off, the accu was 64% :-)

EDIT: 6%%->64%
