Wanted: QIMSI case
Does/can anyone supply cases for the QIMSI interface? If so, I'd be keen to order one. Thanks.

Re: Wanted: QIMSI case
Hi,
I can get some cases printed in Resin, might take a few weeks to do.

Re: Wanted: QIMSI case
PS - I assume the case has an access slot for the sd card at the rear? ie I would not need to remove the case to get at it?

Re: Wanted: QIMSI case
Here's a picture of the QIMSI case which Johan Engdal kindly printed for me. It was early days of QIMSI - I think someone (Maskenlos?) has made a publicly available case design, though I can't find the link for it on the Forum atm. Picture shows the micro SD card slot and the two USB connectors. Also shows the small hole for the QIMSI LED halfway across the top (above the M of the QIMSI logo), although the LED isn't as easily seen when cased.
Most QIMSI case designs I've seen have been fairly similar, probably based on the same original design?. They either come in two halves or a folding design. The later ones have better support clips for the QIMSI board.
Being 3D-printed, the finish won't be as good (as in "smooth and shiny") as other manufacturing methods, but more than adequate in my opinion.
Amazing what some people have been able to come up with using 3D printers. Thingiverse has a collection of QL-related designs such as cases, feet, key caps, QIMSI case etc https://www.thingiverse.com/tag:sinclair_ql
