I have a similar problem with Chris. I made an EPROM with Minerva and TKII but on the boot screen wjile the Minerva logo is there I don't see the Qjump logo.
I checked on the EPROM programer and I do have the 4AFB at C000, the wiring of the pcb is correct but when I Type PRINT PEEK_W(49152) instead of getting 19195 I am getting 3855 (Hex F0F).
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated .
I was wondering in the pcb that is presented below if the part we see is the top or the bottom.
Thanks in advance Tassos

minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
Re: minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
That is the bottom. The left rank of pins is for the socket above (EPROM) and the right rank of pins is for the socket below (the QL).
I have designed and will be making a batch of low cost Minerva/TK2 EPROMS of a new design, fully SMD. Ultra-low power. They should be ready in 4-6 months or so.

Re: minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
Thanks Dave, no wonder why it is not working, I thought that was the top side so everything is reversed on the perf board.
I will make a new one and let everyone know how it will go.

Re: minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
Also, I'm in the middle of making a bunch of these. They'll be quite cheap and I'll be selling them EPROMless too...
Re: minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
Yes I am using a 7400 .
I am interesting in the EPROMless boards that you will make.

Re: minerva and TKII EPROM burning problem
EPROMless, it will be well under £10. With EPROM, a little more. Quanta members will get it at a discount - the idea is that in this day and age, Minerva should be considered a minimum system requirement.
