The QL Forum 1st Anniversary Thread
Amazingly the QL forum is 1 this week. The worrying and slightly scary fact is that the year has flown over, although starting it encased in ice didn't help matters. We have a new banner for a bit of fun, hope you all like it.
I'd also like to thank everyone for taking the time to post here and also visit. It is the members who make a great forum and I think we have the foundations of great one.
Thank you!

Congrats!
And also thanks for taking the burden of hosting such a discussion forum. I know the work behind that is not exactly peanuts.
Cheers,
tofro

Re: The QL Forum 1st Anniversary Thread
It was around this time last year, that Vanpeebles first mentioned to me about starting the QL Forum.
Late one night, fueled by beer, I quickly threw together the basics of the forum and proudly showed off my handywork to Vanpeebles the next day.
Vanpeebles purchased the domain name a few days later, then he spent the next week or so customising the look and feel of the site. Over the Christmas period we started promoting the site, listing it on search engines etc...
Further features were launched in early January 2011, such as youtube video posts, automatic image thumbnailing, automatic twitter and facebook posts, plus RSS feeds.
The rest is geek history.......
What are we planning to do next with the forum??
You'll have to wait and see!

He he, nice one Mrs Heaton! Now Rob can have his cake and eat it!
I also like the little birthday cake candle logo to celebrate 1st birthday.
Congrats Rob and vanpeebles for your work over the last 12 months setting this up and maintaining it.
