Also there are details about a new fully licensed C64 core and a mention that an update to the QL core is imminent.

Re: Retrofest UK 2025. May 31st / June 1st

It was a fun event - I went with my youngest daughter who has just finished her Computer Science degree at Southampton Uni. I wanted to see her reaction to the old tech. Amusingly, she was most taken by Adventure on a VAX (I think it was a VAX?). She also played PacMan for the first time in her life ...

Re: FREE Gateway PC in *terrible* condition.

Yeah, I did wonder if anyone would want it for that. Also PCs of that era are very popular with the retro gaming crowd and fetch silly prices on eBay (when in good condition). Re: FREE Gateway PC in *terrible* condition.

Remarkably, somebody wanted it (not from this forum, you lot have more sense :D). It's gone now.

In the meantime, I've managed to extract the data from one of the hard drives but the second is proving more tricksy.

FREE Gateway PC in *terrible* condition. [CLAIMED]

A friend has asked me to try to salvage data from a very old PC (Gateway Athlon, manufactured in 2000). It’s been stored in a leaky garage for at least 15 years, so the condition, as you’d expect, is pretty dire, see pics. HDD not included. I’ve ordered an IDE to USB caddy to try to get data off it ...

Retrofest UK 2025. May 31st / June 1st

I was wondering whether anyone else was going to this? It’s being held in the STEAM museum in Swindon.

I’ll be there on the Saturday.

Ahem. Well, quite. Move along, nothing to see here! :? :D

TBH, I’m too busy writing my sequel to Midnight/MU and some business software right now. I have started on the parser though.

Re: QL resurrection - worth it?

I've downloaded Finding Evan and will be giving this a go soon - looking forward to a new AP adventure after all these years. :)

PS - there is a typo in the "From the Tower of Valagon" heading on your website.
