Thanks Derek.

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
No worries Derek.
I only mentioned it because I did have a document with all the changes I made and any queries that I had. Unfortunately that one document got corrupted and was unreadable.
Cheers,
Norm.

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Hi Derek.
I forgot to note that where I have highlighted registers that are stated to be preserved or corrupted, this differs from the latest QDOS/SMSQ manual.
Cheers,
Norm

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Hi Derek,
I have uploaded the almost finished QDOS Companion to the GitHub repository. I created a new branch, May2025, for the purpose. I have fixed as many spelling and grammar errors as I could, but a few things are not yet corrected as I no longer have access to my books since moving house ...

Re: ZEsarUX 10.0
My apologies "ZEsarUX 10.0", WPC2 is indeed QPC2. I have a new laptop, it is a 16 inches wide one where my previous, for about 12 years, was 17 inch. The keyboard is slightly smaller and my typing has really suffered as a result. My fingers "know" where to go to hit the right key, but on the smaller ...

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Hi Derek,
I've just checked and I already have commit access to the SinclairQL repository. When I'm done, I'll put the whole lot up as a branch, if you want, then you can pull the branch and do any checks you might want to do before committing to the main branch.
Cheers,
Norm.

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Hi Derek,
I'm not a big fan of "track changes" especially when multiple people are tracking and making changes. I'm sticking to the ODT file and my little text file of everything I changed/corrected.
I'm currently up to page 169 in the ODT --- that's 169 ODT pages, not page 169 in the original ...

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Hi Derek,
I have the QDOS Companion on github, so once I remember how to use github, I will update the it there. To produce a sort of QL Document Project Library.
I'm up to the end of chapter 5 with quite a number of fixes made to the ODT file. I've also done a number of search and replace ...

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
Derek,
In a word, no.
Content is important, not how something looks. If it's readable then that's all that's required.
Cheers,
Norm.

Re: Andy Pennell's books.
I will do Derek, no worries.
A couple of things I noticed, A1 in places is AJ and A5 is AS. I'll read it all though and see what I can find.
Cheers,
Norm.
