Re: QLCommander v 2.2.7- For Testers!
I'm a happy bear!!
I fixed the Home_Dir$ issue - now it returns the home dir in SMSQE and returns an empty string in Minerva, without crashing the program!!
Good news. If it was a simple fix, could we see an example piece of code of how you worked around this?
What can I say - it's good to ...

On a UK QL keyboard, tilde is Shift £
On a UK Windows keyboard with QPC2 it's Shift #
Looks like Online guide Character Set page is wrong. Unless someone knows otherwise.
EDIT: uploaded a correction https://dilwyn.theqlforum.com/docs/eboo ... /index.htm

Re: More help needed! Mode 32 vs 33
If you're prepared to use pointer environment/high resolution modes, make the graphics into 256 colour (8-bit) GD2 sprites. When printing sprites to the screen (I think Per has an extension to make this easy on his site, though I've forgotten what it's called) the "system" does a degree of mode ...

Thanks Andrew. I didn't know about CV2NAT. I've just downloaded it and had a look at the instructions - looks extremely useful!
Doesn't Per write some brilliant software?

Re: More help needed! Mode 32 vs 33
Hi again!
I've now finished my attempt at writing a new adventure game, and have done 2 versions, one for QDOS and one for SMSQ/E, written using Q-emulator. I've done over 60 colour screens in _pic format, in Mode 33. Now I've finished, I thought I'd download QPC2 and see if it would run on that ...

Re: sQLux v1.1.1 (Deutschland Edition)
Regarding the pointer problem I mentioned:
With ptr_gen 2.01, the pointer appears with every mouse movement (e.g., when you're in Basic, the "K" pointer), but with ptr_gen 2.06, it doesn't. So there seems to be a problem.
I hope I'm missing something here - why is this an issue?
In those ...

Re: Quanta Library
Afternoon All,
does anyone have a copy of the Quanta Library DBAS file that I could have please? My copy dates from 10th October 1999 and might be a tad out of date. I'm building an article for the next installment of the Assembly Magazine and I would like to have an up to date version as I've ...

Re: resurrecting one time the original rom plus kludge
The order of ROMs issued was FB - PM - AH - JM - JS - MG, with various national versions in between. You can tell the order just by looking at the QDOS version in each ROM (e.g. PM had QDOS 1.02, JM 1.03, JS 1.10, MG 1.13).

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
I recommend using PTR_GEN v2.01, WMAN v2.05
That combination as recommended by dilwyn has a moving K cursor (on linux, but the code is the same)
Later ones than that don't seem to!
Feel free to experiment to see if we can recomand a later combo!
Bear in mind that the "recommendation" is ...
