Re: A reasonably simple frame counter...?

There is another article about timing by the late George Gwilt, though this one needs some knowledge of assembler

There's another article about using them here: https://dilwyn.theqlforum.com/tk/timing.zip (note the warning about using them in ...

Re: BASIC Compiler

Do you mean "Inside Turbo And SuperCharge" by Simon N Goodwin?

If so, that's QL World June 1991 page 42.

The only other article I can think of is his Zip compiler in a Spectrum magazine called Your Spectrum (I think).

Re: BASIC Compiler

In case you'd like to study the sources:

Turbo: https://dilwyn.theqlforum.com/turbo/trbos22.zip
These sources for Turbo were maintained by the late George Gwilt after it stopped being sold by Dig. Precision. Before George got involved, some work had been done on updating the Turbo Toolkit in ...

Re: mdvtool

Although it probably won't be needed if a command line dummy like me can master mdvtool, I did make a short 4-page manual for my own reference, with a few examples of how to use mdvtool (in case I don't use it for a while and forget all the commands and their syntax).

Happy to make any corrections ...

Google sometimes translate "I wanna an ice cream" by "kill your colleague with ice while he scream" When translated into Russian.

We also have some awful examples in Wales of using Google Translate to translate between ...

Re: mdvtool

Thank you XorA for the Windows binary of MDVtool. I've been playing with it, seems to work OK so far, once my brain is in gear to handle the command line command formats. Reading the generated .MDV image in QL2K seems to work, albeit very slowly, I get the impression that "Fast microdrives" in the ...

Re: MicroPicoDrive Popopo's version

I hope that Popopo doesn't mind me copying the links from the YouTube video here, for those who don't wish to watch the video, or can't due to inadequate broadband. I'm not sure if links embedded within a quote will work on the Forum, if they don't I'll try to edit them later.

The video shows how ...
