Thank you all for all of those replies, there are quite a few more options than I expected.
I've started working my way through them.

SD Card Reader
Hello all,
I've had so much fun so far with the QL. Got myself a super cheap one because of a keyboard fault, switched the membrane out and everything was good.
I was using SCART to a TV and I really wanted monitor mode, so Techy kindly supplied a little QL2VGA which worked perfectly. Next on the ...

Re: Quick Disassembly Question
Thank you all,
I've also found this reddish brown piece of plastic under mdv_1. Shown here alongside a PCB screw for scale.
Does anyone know what it is and where it goes back? I would guess some kind of packing out bodge.

Quick Disassembly Question
Hi,
Not code disassembly, physical disassembly.....
How do I free the cables that connect the top panel LEDs to the 6 way connector on the motherboard?
They are not coming out with gentle pulling as I've seen people do in videos.
Is there a trick to release them?
Thanks.
Edit: Oops, lever up ...

Re: 4864 DRAM
Thank you Jože.
I've ordered some -2 devices.

4864 DRAM
I've been hunting around in my old component stock and found a tube of unused 4864 DRAM 16 pin DIP devices.
However, these are 4864P-3 which I understand are about 25% slower than 4864P-2.
My assumption is that Sinclair used the faster devices for good reason and the -3 devices won't cut it in a ...

Minerva on EPROM availability
Hi,
I am interested in getting hold of Minerva pre-programmed on an EPROM. I have issue 5 MB with currently a JM ROM.
I don't have any prom programming capability, so I am looking for pre-baked. Is there any source for these?
Thanks.

It arrived
The QL arrived this morning, I got it very cheap as untested.
I only have RF analog old telly to test it with and my first problem was F2 not working, so I couldn't get into TV mode.
Quickly replaced the keyboard membrane, took about 6 minutes and the machine is awake!
