Thanks Your so much Nasta (and other) for the aditional information, now I understand clearly how the memory is accesses in Aurora (and GC/SGC).
Only one doubth:
When Aurora is used with SGC, the whole 256k of it's video RAM can be accessed (on SGC this is $4C0000 to $4FFFFF) but the video ...

Re: Question about Aurora Memory Mapping.
What I'm missing? The only Idea is that SuperGold card maped this area as the top 256Kb of the fist megabyte (wiring QL's A19 to A24 and QL's A18 A21*A20) or something like this.
That simply is internal to the SGC. The Aurora doesn't see (cannot, the address lines are not there) the "4" in the ...

Question about Aurora Memory Mapping.
I'm trying to understand how aurora graphics work, and if will be possible to implement in the QL Cores for FPGA.
But there is a think that I can't catch:
- Aurora has a 256Kb RAM in his board, of this 240Kb are used for Video Memory, the other 16Kb it's not clear, but I don't care by now ...

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake
Yes, sorry key swap, is R3, (I edited the original message to avoid confusion in the future).
Check the picture attached, both diodes in the same position.
Charging circuit is very simple, a resistor limit the charging current, thats all:

Re: Minerva Mk2 Remake
Sorry for reply to late.
Regarding pins of the conector, I'm not sure because I use "standar" from Kicad, so probably it's reversed, I will check and update the PCB if need.

Re: Hello from Spain
Hi, Hello from Asturias! :-D
Happy to read that you decided to not sell the QL.
With the video and the Tetroid clone you have a good point for start.
One additional upgrade you shall have in mind, is a Hermes chip, if you consider that the keyboard still not going well with the new membrane.

Re: cst qdisk v1.19 rom reports a checksum error
I'm on contact with a user of Facebook that post a picture of a cst disk with this version to try to save the ROM and send me it by email, hopefull in some days I can provide to you.
It's scrambled, so you need to swap bits before get the readable code, checksum is the last two bytes of the 12kb ...

Re: CST Expander and other updates
Can some one identify this expander board?
A friend sent me this pictures, but I'm not sure if is a memory expansion or the Q+2 that your talking, by the text on the board, the unpopulated ROMs in the pcb and the detail that the top board can't be easy removed.

Re: resurrecting one time the original rom plus kludge
Sorry, took a while to respond. The Alea boards don't work with 3x 16k ROMS, see:
https://theqlforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4177
I'm sure he'll modify the files so that they will work. If you have the boards already they can be altered.
I can confirm that the repro boards do fit inside an original ...
