Re: Trump card 2 clone problem

For the RTC clock you need the original Minerva tools (are on Dilwing site) to set the clock.
If not you only see that the message of the Minerva on boot show that hold the clock, to the same all time.

Re: Trump card 2 clone problem

@aalea - at the beginning - BIG thank you for your work!

By "third" I meant my variation on Mini Trump 3 that also works flawlessly.

I'm using Sony MFP920 drive that is said to work OK and it is (tried also Alps - not OK).

This is really strange - I use the same drive, same cable and SAME ICs ...

Re: Trump card 2 clone problem

What do you mean that you have a third ? Where come the Gerber? It's also like the blue?

Frankly speaking I'm in the same situation, I have several mini trump 3 that work always, but have several clone of the 2 and work depends on the weather...

Work perfectly, I put in the drawer and one moth ...

Re: QL internal 27C512 ROM adapter board

This is the famous 'Spanjer' RAM expansion, named after the father and son who supplied (and optionally fitted) it.

They soldered out the old 64K chips, fitted 256K chips, and added a bit of extra logic (74LS157 multiplexer and PROM for address decoding). The result was 512K internal RAM, which ...

Re: cst qdisk v1.19 rom reports a checksum error

Is for version 4 of the CST, so in the one with version 1.18, if you have 1.16 or below the board is different and not compatible.
I do not have information of anybody with version 1.17, but if any have a picture I can indicate you with version is the maximum.

Re: cst qdisk v1.19 rom reports a checksum error

I use a tool for windows call "AFS Rom Suite MD – Utility" this allow several things, like split and join roms, and swaps bits and address line, in the "pins -> Address Pins (8bits)" is possible to configure the changes to modify the ROM, you can even save the configuration for later use.

I just ...

Re: cst qdisk v1.19 rom reports a checksum error

I have Bads and Goods News, I think is funny, but not sure that other think the same...

I was in contact with Andrews Craig from facebook, he has a working 1.19 Interface and a eprom programmer, so he was kind enough to remove ROM from his interface and read it.

(And this is de Bad News) his ...

Re: CST Thor RAM test

I want to remember that I have the schematic and PCB of the Thor here:
https://github.com/alvaroalea/QL_Thor20/tree/main/Thor_20_expansion

The memory expansion are basically 2 multiplexer, 2 chained buffer, a GAL and de 16 RAM chips, but other logic are also involved.

Unfortunately, I do not have ...

Re: Aurora memory mapping

Thanks Your so much Nasta (and other) for the aditional information, now I understand clearly how the memory is accesses in Aurora (and GC/SGC).

Only one doubth:

When Aurora is used with SGC, the whole 256k of it's video RAM can be accessed (on SGC this is $4C0000 to $4FFFFF) but the video ...

Re: Question about Aurora Memory Mapping.

What I'm missing? The only Idea is that SuperGold card maped this area as the top 256Kb of the fist megabyte (wiring QL's A19 to A24 and QL's A18 A21*A20) or something like this.

That simply is internal to the SGC. The Aurora doesn't see (cannot, the address lines are not there) the "4" in the ...
