Good thread about serials working ports, I was looking for it

How many devices were developed for QL that would use Serial ports?

Do you have height enough to close the QL case using these pins and sockets for every IC? The space is very limited.


He has told that is going to use it outside the QL. I guess some special model of QL that is not the "original".

By photos, I would check out (or try to improve the soldering of the joints marked on red), just in case.

SGC does reads and writes on J1 to the motherboard IO area at addresses $18000..$1BFFF, only reads to the ROM slot addresses at $C000..$FFFF, and the entire ROM area at $0000..$FFFF (as appears on J1) appears once more as $400000..$40FFFF to the SGC but read-only.
