That's true Per - that could also work .
The other thing that's possible, is that if you are acting as a ROM and controlling the computer - you could issue code and observe the data bus and the lower 16 address lines to see the result of that, you just wouldn't know what address is actually being ...

Re: Wondering if a "dead test" ROM is feasible on the QL.
The ROM port is active for any address in the lower 64K - it's just that you would need to disable the lower 48K of that to stop the onboard ROM's providing data - since they will also be looking at the ROMOEH line to provide data on the bus. If you could keep this signal low, then you could supress ...

The ZX8302 does the output for serial data - so the IPC would not be needed for that.
It's a good idea

That's a good place to start - the jed code is actually there at the end of the text file - just 'cut and paste' that part and save it as a suitable .jed file.

Re: My current QL accelerator project
On the issue 5 - there is a 2K2 resistor pullup on the DTACK line (R71) , and on issue 6 the same, although on issue 6 boards the HAL also provides DTACK (decoded for the ZX8302 I presume)

Re: Faulty RAM *RESOLVED*
Still - I was in the process of building a PS/2 snooper device - that could also double as a go between for those keyboards or KVM's that don't play ball with s/H - as I would really like to hook it up to the KVM along with it's other stablemates.

Re: Faulty RAM *RESOLVED*
It's not just the 6 pin mini Din format though - the SuperHermes doesn't understand what has now become the standard PS/2 scan code set - so more modern keyboards won't work with it. Older PS/2 keyboards that support switching the code pages will work if they support the scan code set the ...

Re: Faulty RAM *RESOLVED*
superhermes are a rare find!
That will give you some options with the keyboard, but sadly not PS/2 directly.
