Re: Case for Trump card clone
A bit cheeky but just wondering if you could share the STL for those of us with a 3D printer already.

Re: Q.L. PSU Repair
O.K. scrappy circuit diagram warning.
I've never done this before (can you tell...)
I haven't marked the pins or values for most of the components but if anyone out there needs more info I can put more detail in.
Just hoping someone who understands electronics better than me can make sense of this ...

Re: Q.L. PSU Repair
I couldn't find ANY schematics of the Q.L. PSU when I was looking to make one-that's why I'm going to try and sort out the circuit from mine.
It doesn't look too complex and I should be able to make a rough diagram of it's circuitry.

Q.L. PSU Repair
Swapped a microdrive from my spares/repairs Q.L. to my working one and got some microdrive tapes to load.
Then I lost the T.V. signal. After a bit of checking it seems I'm lost the 15v ac output from my PSU.
Since they are hard to come by I will try and figure out the circuits of my PSU while it's ...

Re: PSU alternative?
Good question.
I've collected quite a few retro computers and the Q.L. was one of the few Sinclair computers I have never owned so I since a lot of the computers I've collected are ones I could never afford when I was younger I finally got a Q.L.
Once I've got it reading microdrive tapes I'll have ...

Re: PSU alternative?
Open it up.clean the heads on the microdrives to see if that fixes them.If that doesn't work look around on here and the 'net to find other solutions and if that doesn't work swap the microdrives from the spares Q.L. into the working one to see if they work.

Re: PSU alternative?
OK so I've copped out.
Managed to get a spares and repairs Q.L. with a working PSU so now I have my Q.L. running.
Just got to sort the microdrives out now. Will have a look and will maybe use some parts from the non-working Q.L. microdrive mechs to get a fully working one.
Thanks for all you help ...

Re: PSU alternative?
So being a collector of old computers I suddenly remebered having a simalar problem with my TRS-80.
I had a PSU for it but needed another for the expansion unit I got for it.I ened up using a USA one with a stop down transformer before I managed to get myself a U.K. one.
I still have the USA psu and ...

Re: PSU alternative?
Now that doesn't look too difficult.
In reference to the DC to DC converter would this be better?
