I probably had FSERVE and Martin Head's brilliant IFSERVE (on the Q68) running at the same time as TIndex to be fair...Peter wrote: Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:27 pm You should get 24.2. Unless you see something obvious (like loading extensions that consume CPU) I'd be interested in finding the discrepancy.

Re: QLion Gold Card
Great results, Leon!
In my own TIndex tests (using CoWo's QTop), I get around the 21x mark for the Q68 and QZero (both in mode 4, SMSQe), so these are great results for the QLion card!
Well done, my friend!

Re: QLCommander v 2.2.7- For Testers!
Hi Ralph
It probably isn't entirely clear to this audience what Andrei is attempting to achieve with the TURBO_DUMMP approach to calling WMOV: WMOV already works fine under SMSQe, but Andrei is trying to build something more universal across OSs, and as he explained earlier, once Turbo compiled ...

Re: QLCommander v 2.2.7- For Testers!
Hi Andrei!
Depending upon the error you're getting when using that Turbo 'dummy' procedure for WMOV, it might well be due to the lack of the # symbol in your calling of the re-assigned TURBO_DUMMYP.
I.e., try:
TURBO-DUMMYP #a
Reading the syntax for WMOV, it can take both with and without the ...

Re: QLCommander v2.2.x
Hi again Per
But as I just found out: Turbo doesnt understand GET on strings, ie for the name. There you have to use GET$ or something.
Just a point of clarification - later versions of Turbo DO support TK2's GET (with those pesky reference string params) - but:
a) ONLY on SMSQe and
b) If the ...

Nice one Per!
That darn RI Stack - I still get in trouble with it, even after studiously following Dilwyn's terrific and comprehensive article on the topic
I'll test your Level1/2 query later and update this thread.

Re: QLCommander v2.2.x
Hiya Per!
I'm sure you've made Andrei a very happy fellow :-)
Cant think how I missed this one.
Good grief, man, give yourself a break! Given the sheer volume of truly useful stuff you've made available to us over the years, I think a little slip is acceptable, now and again!
Thanks again ...

Re: QLCommander v2.2.x
Hi Andrei and friends...
Like Dilwyn, I also tested the free memory - but with TK2's FREE_MEM - and I note that when interpreted, testsize_bas churns through available memory when b$=MDHEADR$ is used, but does not when replaced with a static assignment to b$.
Obviously, under the interpreter (and ...

If I may add to Andre's exciting announcement...
Andre's poured hours of care and attention in bringing some truly useful features to his Commander-like File Manager.
