Thanks for the answers: I’ve managed to solder the original capacitor back into place, and the board seems to be working okay, so I’ll take that for now!

Thanks for that, it does certainly look pretty home modified, as the soldering is ‘lumpy’ at best. I guess I am curious as to why there are two very different capacitors added on to what look to be the same location, just either side of the board. As long as no-one can think of any critical reasons ...

Fully working, I'm only selling it as I have no need for it, as I have a SuperQboard with disk and printer interface now! I've been meaning to put this on auction for a while, but have not just gotten around to it.

I can vouch for these, I bought a couple of sets, and they have been by far the most reliable microdrive cartridges I've got, thus far!

Okay, I'm an idiot! I was doing the microdrive testing at the same time as I was creating a duplicate of Lost Empire of Zkul, and I think I must have used my new duplicate, which of course will have some sort of copy protection on it.

Sorry, I meant to say, this was using refurbished microdrive cartridges... I will open up the QL soon and take a look... Thanks for the responses!
